Education: Bachelor of Engineering & MBA
Experience: 25 + years in Oil & Gas; at least 10 years in senior management within aviation fueling
Role Overview
The Chief Operating Officer will spearhead end-to-end operations of our aviation refuelling business. You will ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of aviation fuel across multiple airports, drive continuous performance improvements, and shape strategic initiatives that fuel growth. As a member of the executive team, you’ll translate vision into action, optimize processes, and build strong stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management
Oversee daily refuelling operations at all airport locations, ensuring alignment with global aviation fuel standards
Develop, document, and enforce SOPs and operational frameworks to maximize efficiency
Monitor and improve fuel storage, handling, and distribution processes
Guarantee operational readiness through maintenance strategies, equipment reliability programs, and competency-driven workforce planning
- Safety, Quality & Compliance
Enforce strict adherence to JIG, IATA, and other international aviation fueling standards
Champion a zero-incident culture via robust risk management, incident investigations, and preventive measures
Ensure full compliance with environmental regulations, airport authority mandates, and internal audit findings
Lead root-cause analyses and embed continuous improvement across operations
- Strategic Planning & Business Growth
Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to define and execute growth roadmaps
Identify and pilot operational innovations, digital automation, and service enhancements
Forge and nurture alliances with airlines, fuel suppliers, and airport authorities to strengthen market position
Drive digital transformation initiatives to boost productivity and data-driven decision-making
- Financial & Budget Management
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control measures for refuelling operations
Balance cost optimization with uncompromising safety and service quality
Uncover new revenue streams through value-added services and strategic partnerships
- People & Performance Management
Build, mentor, and retain a high-performance operations team across sites
Define and track KPIs to measure operational excellence and individual performance
Foster a culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
Ensure all personnel maintain required certifications and training in line with aviation standards
- Customer & Stakeholder Relations
Act as primary liaison for airline customers, airport authorities, and regulatory bodies
Resolve escalations swiftly and implement service-level improvements based on feedback
Represent the company in industry forums, safety committees, and regulatory consultations
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor of Engineering and MBA
25 + years of experience in Oil & Gas, with at least 10 years in senior management within aviation fueling
Proven track record of leading large-scale, multi-site operations in a highly regulated environment
